How to Split a PDF by Page Range
- Upload the PDF you want to split.
- Enter one or more page ranges, separated by semicolons — e.g.
1-3; 5; 8-10produces three separate PDF files. - Click Split PDF — each range downloads as its own PDF file, one after another.
Example
On a 12-page report, entering 1-3; 4-8; 9-12 downloads three files: pages 1–3 as the first PDF, pages 4–8 as the second, and pages 9–12 as the third — useful for splitting a combined document back into its original sections.

FAQ
- What happens with just one range? You get a single downloaded PDF containing only those pages — equivalent to extracting pages.
- Why do the files download one after another instead of as a zip? This tool downloads each split file directly as soon as it's ready, so you don't need to unzip anything afterward. Your browser may ask to allow multiple downloads the first time — allow it to receive every file.
- Can a group inside a range include multiple pieces? Yes — within a semicolon-separated group you can combine commas and dashes, e.g.
1-2,9as one group produces a single PDF with pages 1, 2, and 9. - Is my file uploaded anywhere? No — splitting happens entirely in your browser; the PDF is never sent to a server.
