How to Use the Digital Declutter Checklist
Browse the pre-organized categories — Email, Apps, Files, Photos, and Accounts — and check off the digital cleanup tasks you want to tackle. Use the "Add Custom Task" field for anything specific to your own setup, which appears in its own "Other" section. The panel on the right shows your final checklist grouped by category, ready to copy for a weekend cleanup session.
Example
Checking "Unsubscribe from unused mailing lists" and "Archive/delete old emails" under Email, then "Delete unused mobile apps" under Apps, produces a grouped list with an Email section and an Apps section, each listing only the tasks you've checked.
Common Use Cases
- Running a periodic digital cleanup of inboxes, apps, and files to reduce clutter.
- Freeing up phone or computer storage by clearing caches and deleting duplicate photos.
- Reviewing old accounts and subscriptions to cancel what's no longer used and tighten up weak passwords.
FAQs
- Does this tool actually delete anything on my devices? No — this is a checklist to guide your own cleanup; it doesn't connect to your email, apps, or files. You check off tasks here as a reminder while you do the actual cleanup yourself.
- Can I add cleanup tasks specific to my own devices or accounts? Yes — use the "Add Custom Task" field to add anything, and it will appear in the Other section of your final checklist.
- Is my checklist saved for next time? No — the list resets when you reload the page, since it's generated fresh in your browser each visit rather than stored anywhere.
